アネ゙デパミ゙ (0xFF) corruption in Professor Oak's laboratory

アネ゙デパミ゙ (0xFF) map corruption glitch (hex:FF map corruption glitch) is a glitch in Pokémon Yellow (Japanese).

It is caused by viewing アネ゙デパミ゙ (0xFF)'s sprite from either a summary screen or in the Pewter Museum (the effects may differ depending on the method).

Effects (summary screen)

If the game does not freeze, the graphics on the map and the relative position of your character will become glitched. The music will also stop. Characters will continuously walk down on the screen like the side effects of encountering Missingno. on English Yellow.

If you save and reset the game most of the glitches will be fixed, but characters will still keep walking down. You can walk through most of them, but interestingly one of them may cause the player character to stop when you attempt to walk through him.

Acquisition

One of the easiest ways to obtain アネ゙デパミ゙ (0xFF) is through the SRAM glitch, but it can theoretically also be obtained by trading a Select glitch アネ゙デパミ゙ (e.g. from dokokashira door glitch or fossil conversion glitch (Japanese) from Pokémon Red, Green, and Pokémon Blue (Japanese) to Pokémon Yellow (Japanese)).
