my approach

have seven saves:

  1. three stacks of 99 rare candies
  2. all five HMs
  3. TMs 01 to 10
  4. TMs 11 to 20
  5. TMs 21 to 30
  6. TMs 31 to 40
  7. TMs 41 to 50
