Using this glitch item causes arbitrary code execution at D9B2, which is the beginning of stored Pokémon data (the equivalent of DA7F from English Yellow). For this reason it is an ideal arbitrary code execution glitch item, which using a stored Pokémon bootstrap code can be redirected elsewhere, such as to inventory items.

The equivalent glitch item in English Yellow is ws m (hex:63), which has a name which is actually mojibake for かいがらバッヂ.
