Pokédex sorting 0xD1 is a glitch Pokédex sorting in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Effect

  • Arbitrary code execution at region CE18 in RAM when opened. Can be ended with a ret with no known issues.
  • Can press Select to successfully load mode selection screen, where description may be blank. Pressing A may freeze the game due to an invalid opcode (0xF4) at region 0ECD in ROM.

When accessed with C6D8 method

  • Same effect for pressing A as above, second bullet point
