From Glitch City Laboratories
On Glitch City Laboratories, the term family is used to describe glitch Pokémon in Generation I games that share a Pokédex number and certain other attributes. For example, the Red/Blue glitch Pokémon RB:197 ("PkMn") and RB:214 ("4h") are both members of family 250. Families exist only in one game; the 250 family in Red and Blue is not identical to the 250 family in Yellow.
All glitch Pokémon within a family share the following:
- Pokédex number
- Sprite
- Starting moveset
- TM/HM moveset
- Base stats
- Type(s)
- Cry
- Menu icon
However, each glitch Pokémon has its own:
Some glitch Pokémon, such as RB:255 ("Charizard 'M") share a Pokédex number with a "real" Pokémon (in this case, Charizard). These are referred to as hybrids, but the description above holds true for them as well.
